A student association is looking for a Line Cook to join their team at the venue restaurant in Kitchener. The successful candidate will prepare food items for service while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen. This role requires strong culinary skills, customer service abilities, and the willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Ideal for students enrolled at Conestoga College, this position aims to support student success and satisfaction through quality dining experiences.
Position: Line Cook (The Venue)
Location: Conestoga College – Doon Campus, The Venue Restaurant & Bar
Time Requirement: Up to 20 hours/week (Some evenings and weekends may be required)
Reporting to: Food Services Supervisor
Start Date: April 21, 2026
Hourly Wage: $20.65

Line Cooks are responsible for preparing food items for a full-serve restaurant while maintaining a healthy and safe kitchen workspace. In the course of this work, Line Cooks will be required to use hot cooktops, sharp tools, and other cooking equipment. Occasionally, restocking and storing inventory will also be necessary.
In carrying out the duties of this position, a great deal of autonomy is exercised with final oversight by the Food Services Supervisor. It is important that the Line Cooks work closely with the Food Services Supervisor to stay up to date on the basic overall operations of the restaurant. Service to students and guests is a top priority.
