In this role, you will thrive in a high-performing environment with strong leadership and team support. Your responsibilities include providing direct medical services that play a key role in promoting health and safety by conducting workplace health assessments and drug & alcohol testing, as well as other occupational health services—delivered either at our collection site or via our mobile testing unit.
You will help foster a positive team culture, maintain service excellence, and contribute to safer workplaces through trusted customer service and operational integrity.
Location: Edmonton South, AB
Employment Type : Permanent Full-Time (benefits eligible)
Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4 pm; On-call and Shy bladder rotation (37.5 hours weekly)

Responsibilities
- Safeguard lives by keeping workplaces substance-free.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience by ensuring all individuals feel secure, valued, and respected throughout every interaction and process.
- Perform in-office drug and alcohol testing, including sample collection, integrity checks, documentation, and shipping of specimens.
- Perform occupational testing services such as nursing physicals, ECGs, vision testing, as well as other medical assessments as requested.
- May conduct additional occupational health assessments such as audiometric testing, respirator fit testing, spirometry, and phlebotomy.
- Participate in rotational 24 / 7 on-call services, with potential for weekday overtime.
- Manage front-desk responsibilities including reception, data entry, donor registration, result tracking, faxing, and copying.
- Assist with internal medical policy and procedure development.
- Order medical supplies as required.
- Train employees on medical equipment use.
- Travel to client sites as required.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program
- Current registration, and insurance (if applicable), with applicable provincial regulatory body is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience performing nursing duties in a clinical setting.
- Current Audiometric, Spirometry and / or Phlebotomy Technician Certificate preferred.
- Ability to travel to other local collection sites as required.
- Able to be on-call during evenings and weekends (reliable transportation is a must).
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a level that enables you to communicate instructions, clearly and understandably.
