The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with a healthcare team, and participating in patient education and discharge planning. Candidates must have completed an accredited practical nurse education program and hold active registration with CLPNA. Your Opportunity: This position is located in Manning, Alberta, 6 hours north of Edmonton. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Manning Community Health Centre is an integral member of the patient care team in a combined facility including Acute Care, Emergency and Long Term Care. The LPN provides direct patient care and support functions consistent with the Licensed Practical Nurse Standards. The LPN is responsible to the Care Manager and works under the direction and guidance of the Staff Nurse. Working in a rural, combined facility offers the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge base and solid nursing foundation. Manning is situated along the Notikewin River and serves the local agriculture, forestry and gas industries. A Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 per year is available for eligible hours, payable at the basic pay rate."
