Qualifications
- Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), or eligible for such licensure.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as per Prairie Mountain Health Policy PPG-00002 CPR Training.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing techniques and procedures.
- Knowledge and competence in skills and concepts related to the position.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to respect and promote confidentiality.
- Ability to perform duties regularly.

- Satisfactory employment record.
- Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for service within Prairie Mountain Health.
- One (1) year of full-time experience in a medical, surgical, outpatient care unit, long-term care, or community setting as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the last three (3) years.
Position Summary
Consistent with the vision, mission, and values of Prairie Mountain Health sites and affiliates, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. They recognize and fulfill their professional responsibilities by practicing within the scope of practice defined by the Licensed Practical Nurses Act, the CLPNM Scope of Practice, provincial and federal legislation, and professional ethics.
