Role and Responsibilities

To support its growth, Intact is looking to add a member to its Broker Transactions and Corporate Finance team, which currently includes seven professionals, to manage operations in the province of Quebec. Reporting to the Director, Legal Affairs, you will focus on transactional matters, including acquisitions, equity investments, private placements, and financing, from the initial stages through to closing. You will identify the legal issues inherent in various projects and advise internal teams on optimal solutions to minimize risks. You will negotiate and draft a variety of transaction-related agreements, such as share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, subscription agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and loan agreements, and act as the point of contact with external advisors, including tax specialists, accountants, and lawyers. You will also contribute to strategic national projects.
