The Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and the Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are seeking a qualified academic Physiatrist for a position as a Clinician Teacher or Clinician in Quality and Innovation. The candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the University of Toronto. The position is expected to be 75% clinical and 25% research, teaching, quality improvement, and administrative duties. The start date is early 2026, negotiable to the candidate's needs.

Clinical duties include providing PM&R care in outpatient and inpatient settings at Sunnybrook Bayview campuses, focusing on neurological rehabilitation patients such as those with ALS and Stroke. Expertise in spasticity management and bracing is an asset. Outpatient clinics in other areas of Physiatry may be available based on the applicant's skills and interests.

The candidate should hold an MD degree, be eligible for certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The candidate must demonstrate clinical excellence in PM&R, with advanced training in teaching, education, quality improvement, or patient safety. The role involves supporting teaching, quality, and innovation across inpatient and outpatient settings at Sunnybrook. Participation in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto is expected.

The candidate will report to the Division Head of PM&R at Sunnybrook. Remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience. The candidate will be eligible for membership in the Sunnybrook Department of Medicine Association, with access to clinical billings and benefits, and may participate in group medical, dental, and life insurance plans.
