Role Description

Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, Lead MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high quality diagnostic MRI examination of patients. The Lead in the MRI department will:

  • Oversee all aspects in the day to day running of the MRI department, including general supervision and leadership.
  • Responsible for staffing and booking or rebooking patients in the manager’s absence. Responsible for updating Policy and Procedure Manuals
  • Assist the manager with the College accreditation
  • Perform annual performance reviews with Manager
  • Schedule MRI meetings
  • Assist the booking staff with any questions that may arise
  • Organize and monitor the orientation of new staff
  • Oversee the annual competency program
  • Scheduling and facilitating equipment PM’s and service.
  • Oversee supply management and inventory
  • Manage service contracts
  • Must be an active participant in the CAMIS MRI team, and willing to aid as needed or requested to fellow MRI Technologists or co‑workers.
