Job description

KPIC Maintenance Services Inc. (a member of the FWS Group of Companies) specializes in industrial maintenance services, providing preventative and reactive solutions along with small project retrofits and expansions to our clients' facilities, primarily in grain handling, feed mill, and food processing.

We are recruiting for Lead Millwrights in Calgary, Saskatoon, Yorkton, and Regina to join our collaborative and team-focused organization.

Position Overview :

  • Ensure all assigned mechanical tasks are completed safely, on time, and within budget, maintaining high quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote and adhere to safe work practices, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Proficient in standards, codes, best practices, and safety policies.
  • Operate equipment safely, including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools; proficient in hoisting and rigging.
  • Perform mechanical inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations per manufacturer specifications and standards.
  • Interpret equipment drawings and manuals, providing accurate layouts and ensuring proper maintenance and service.
  • Use welding and cutting equipment effectively.
  • Supervise laborers and resources for specific tasks.
  • Mentor and train junior workers to develop skills.
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately and legibly per KPIC standards.
  • Manage and maintain company tools and ensure the tool trailer is kept clean and organized daily.

Qualifications Needed :

  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Motivated, positive, and able to handle multiple tasks in a team or independent environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills; experience with industrial drives, shafts, bearings, and lubrication.
  • Ability to diagnose and adjust various mechanical and industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of welding principles; CWB certification is an asset.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments, including cold, hot, dust, and outdoor settings.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, with agricultural experience as an asset.
  • Enrolled in an Apprenticeship program; Journeyman status is an asset.
  • Current safety certifications such as First Aid, fall arrest, confined space, WHMIS, CSTS are preferred.
  • No previous safety violations within the FWS Group of Companies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
