Job summary

A healthcare organization in Canada is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to take on the role of Lead GP. This position includes maintaining patient load while also providing clinical guidance and leadership to fellow doctors, mentoring medical students, and ensuring a high standard of medical care. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of general practice experience and fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in general practice.
• Experience leading a clinical team is highly desirable.
• Accreditation as a GP Registrar Supervisor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance and leadership to our doctors.
• Conduct teaching, mentor and supervise registrars and medical students.
• Drive accreditation and quality improvement processes.
• Recruit and orientate new clinical staff.
• Provide strong clinical governance.
• Step into a busy GP clinic to provide much-needed appointments.
