The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in environmental management, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a degree in Engineering or Science. This role offers a salary range of $106,000 - $131,000, along with benefits including bonuses and a retirement package, in a picturesque outdoor setting.

Reporting to the Senior Lead, Environment, the Lead, Environment is responsible for supporting the implementation of an environmental compliance and performance improvement strategy at Fording River Operations (FRO). This role is important in advancing continual improvement onsite to proactively mitigate potential environmental risks. This role is responsible for facilitating incident investigations, corrective action planning, and assessing the effectiveness of controls related to environment compliance.
To be successful, we are looking for a self-motivated team player with excellent leadership, organization, and facilitation abilities; someone with the ability to manage challenging priorities and can move processes forward. This person will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of multidisciplinary teams. This role presents a diverse range of challenges across multiple subject areas and requires a critical thinker with exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills. Additionally, you will be a process-oriented and practical solutions-based individual with strong organizational and time management skills.

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
