A community college in Ontario is seeking a part-time Laboratory Technologist to support the delivery of practice laboratory sessions. This role involves ensuring laboratory safety, maintaining equipment, and preparing experiments. Applicants should have a minimum of a 3-year diploma in a related field and experience in a laboratory setting. The position offers $36.30/hour for 24 hours per week, starting September 17, 2025, with a closing date for applications on September 24, 2025.
The Laboratory Technologist supports the delivery of practice laboratory sessions in the Science Labs at the Cornwall Campus by ensuring that the labs are prepared in accordance with teaching requirements provided by faculty members for each one of the programs. The Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment and help the faculty to monitor students making sure laboratory safety rules are followed.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of a 3-year diploma/degree in Health Science, Chemistry, Environmental, Science and Arts.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the use and operation of laboratory equipment, preparing experiments and reagents, familiar with WHMIS, laboratory organization and safety practices. Working experience with biological hazardous materials.
