As we expand our Hospital Service Division, we’re looking for an experienced Clinical Laboratory Equipment Technician to help us raise the bar in service and reliability — and potentially grow into a leadership role overseeing a future team of technicians.

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on technical role with direct hospital and lab impact. You’ll:

  • Service & Repair: Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair histology and pathology equipment including:

    • Tissue processors

    • Embedding centers

    • Microtomes

    • Cryostats

    • Stainers and coverslippers

    • Pathology imaging platforms (e.g., digital slide scanners)

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime, extend instrument life, and keep labs inspection-ready.

  • Customer Support: Work directly with biomedical and pathology departments to resolve service issues quickly, train staff on safe use, and provide technical guidance.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain detailed service records in Cenmed’s EMMS (Enterprise Maintenance Management System) and ensure alignment with CAP/CLIA guidelines and hospital standards.

  • Leadership Growth: Collaborate with management to create SOPs, mentor junior staff, and prepare to lead a growing team of service technicians.

What We’re Looking For

  • Required:

    • Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Technology, Electronics, or equivalent training (including military service experience).

    • 3+ years of hands-on service experience with clinical lab instruments; histology/pathology equipment strongly .

    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

    • Familiarity with hospital lab environments and safety/compliance standards.

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

  • :

    • OEM training/certifications on pathology/histology systems (Leica, Thermo Fisher, Sakura, Ventana/Roche).

    • Experience with CMMS/EMMS platforms.

    • Prior mentoring or team lead experience.
