About This Opportunity

If you’re an energetic, enthusiastic Kinesiologist seeking personal and professional growth, CBI Health has an opening to help you meet your career goals while being supported by one of the largest healthcare networks in Canada. Our Lethbridge Clinic is looking for a part-time Registered Kinesiologist to complement our interdisciplinary team. You will use exercise therapy to achieve excellent clinical outcomes and client engagement, assisting clients to return to work and daily activities at all stages of rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Treat Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), LTD, WCB and private clients in a gym setting
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on treatment decisions, progression, and management of the client
  • Design and implement a therapeutic exercise program to meet identified client needs
  • Complete employer assessments such as Physical Demands Analysis (PDA), Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) and Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE) to confirm job capability of essential job demands
  • Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician
  • Assist the treating clinician with return-to-work planning
  • Ensure the gym area is presentable, organized and safe
What You Need To Be Successful
  • A university degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
  • Active membership with the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA) or eligibility to become a member
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Empathy with an effective ability to build rapport with patients
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to facilitate clients’ needs by exceeding their goals
