Overview

The Kemway Group of Companies has been serving the Edmonton area for over 35 years, specializing in the construction and property management of commercial and light industrial buildings. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and responsible for accounts payable and receivable, administrative support, property management coordination and executive assistance. Proficiency in Sage accounting software and a strong understanding of corporate finance principles are required. You will work with our property management, project management, finance and executive teams to support financial and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and code invoices, reconcile vendor statements, handle tenant rent billing, deposits, and overdue accounts follow-up.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and statements for management.
  • Administrative and Financial Support: Provide property management, project management and executives with administrative and financial support; set up and maintain property, tenant and lease records; process move-ins/move-outs and related accounting adjustments.
  • Vendor and Contractor Liaison: Liaise with contractors, vendors, and property managers to resolve invoice and billing issues.
  • Administrative Duties: Office coordination, ordering supplies, document management, filing, and reception duties; support property management teams with scheduling, correspondence and reporting.
  • Tenant Communication: Provide customer service support and communicate with clients; provide administrative and executive assistance to the leadership team.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience as an intermediate or junior accountant.
  • Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience in accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks; ability to work independently and as part of a team; high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
