Qualifications

  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3‑year driver’s abstract.
  • CSTS‑2020, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, and Elevated Work Platform training required (training provided).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare layouts and select materials accurately from drawings.
  • Build concrete forms using engineered forming systems.
  • Check completed units for accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Complete tasks safely and efficiently, following safety standards.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Understanding of concrete forming systems
Experience with PERI, Aluma, and EFCO formwork

Education

Provincially recognized journeyperson certification in Carpentry
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience (for non-certified)

Responsibilities
  • Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
  • Understand concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
  • Skilled with traditional, PERI, Aluma and EFCO formwork
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Provincially recognized journeyperson certification in Carpentry
  • Non-certified journeypersons must hold a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working on major infrastructure and bridge projects highly desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and meet deadlines
  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3‑year driver’s abstract
  • CSTS‑2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Confined Space and Elevated Work Platform (training provided)
Work Conditions
  • Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
  • Work in all weather conditions year‑round and willing to lend a hand where needed
