Job summary

A leading fuel supplier in Canada is seeking a Jet Fuel Compliance Specialist for a 12–15 month contract. You will execute compliance procedures to meet jet fuel supply chain standards and collaborate closely with internal departments. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly in jet fuel, and have 2–5 years of relevant experience. Job description

As a Jet Fuel Compliance Specialist, you will execute the compliance program’s procedures and policies to meet or exceed the jet fuel supply chain standards. Your goal will be to lead, evaluate and influence corporate safety practices, jet fuel standard operating procedures and product handling processes for conformance to both company best practice and industry standards. Your success will require you to lead and implement new standards, policies and employee guidelines at the site level, across the Irving Oil supply chain. This includes airports, Irving Oil Aviation owned Fixed Base Operational sites, Irving Oil owned terminals as well as our third party owned partner terminals.

This is a 12–15-month contract position. Apply by January 4th, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the subject matter expert on jet fuel standards and regulations for the company and lead the development of quality management assessment expectations at the site level
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with internal departments and other governing bodies to keep informed of industry standards and regulations relating to jet fuel quality, operations or quality control plans
  • Provide technical guidance on aviation services regarding handling, sampling, testing and refueling in accordance to industry standards and governmental regulations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies and other tactics to raise awareness of product quality within business units and promote product quality culture and continuous improvement throughout the business
  • Develop, implement and coordinate accurate Supply & Demand plans for the Jet Fuel Supply Chain and communicate requirements to relevant internal departments
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the supply chain
  • Work in direct consultation with the sales and operations team to streamline operational performance and customer experience
  • Assist in the development of operational Quality Control Plans including OEMS implementation and documentation
  • Conduct site assessments at Irving Oil owned FBO sites and terminals as well as third party sites to ensure compliance and quality control standards are being met. Report findings to the business, along with root cause analyses of any non-compliance issue
Skills
  • Advanced understanding of regulatory compliance, with a preference for jet fuel or petroleum compliance
  • Ability to understand, conduct, maintain and report on supply & demand planning processes
  • Inter-departmental and external communication
  • Thorough understanding of computer systems including Microsoft office suite, and an ability to utilize computer programs to produce, maintain, and share documents, reports, and analytics
Experience
  • High School Diploma is required while post-secondary education is preferred. Business, Law, or Compliance related programs are preferred
  • 2-5 years of oil and gas related experience is preferred, with a strong preference jet fuel related experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply & demand planning and reporting is preferred
