A premier lodge in Jasper is seeking a Lodge Pursuit Adventure Center Supervisor. The ideal candidate will ensure that the front desk functions smoothly while supervising the team and providing exceptional guest service. Candidates should have at least 2 years of hotel experience, good communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This seasonal, full-time role offers a pay of $20 per hour and exciting work in a beautiful environment.

Responsibilities
  • Review and verify the work of hotel front desk clerks
  • Supervise the activities and coordinate the scheduling of the front desk team
  • Arrange training and orientation of all new front desk team members
  • Coordination of front desk activities with other departments
  • Enter rooming lists in the computer system
  • Coordinate handling of all tours and tour policies
  • Ensure accurate room counts are kept
  • Submit room forecasting and progress reports
  • Open and close room availability when necessary
  • Effectively handle guest inquiries and complaints
  • Learn procedures and functions of hotel front desk clerks
Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience in a major hotel, one year of supervisory experience an asset
  • Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader
  • Able to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Basic computational ability
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of hotel computer accounting programs, such as Maestro
