A public service organization in Yukon is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide first-level support, manage service incidents, and maintain network reliability. Finance, Systems and Administration is a corporate branch within the department that provides senior management with direction, guidance and support services in the management and operation of financial and information systems and related administrative processes to ensure that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently in a coordinated manner.
The IT Support Technician is responsible for first level support and acts as the incident manager for all service requests including escalating to second and third level support staff as required. A key component of this role is managing day‑to‑day account and systems administration activities, ensuring the reliability and security of the Yukon Government network and data, actively communicating with users on their issues, and confirming incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
