Kapco Inc. is looking for an IT Support Specialist at our Grafton, WI facility.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop, laptop, mobile, and peripheral devices
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for office and plant‑floor users
  • Support manufacturing systems, including production PCs, scanners, label printers, and HMIs
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations, printers, and standard business applications
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access using Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, switches)
  • Support manufacturing‑related software systems
  • Coordinate with managed service providers as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and support tickets
  • Participate in system upgrades, equipment rollouts, and IT projects
  • Follow company IT policies, security standards, and safety requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1‑3 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365
  • Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a production‑driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with industrial hardware, barcode scanners, and label printers
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.)
