IT Project Manager

THE ROLE

Behind the scenes, our IT team plays a key role in keeping our retail operations running smoothly and driving innovation across thousands of stores.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our IT department in Laval, Québec. If you have a strong background in IT project management, retail operations, and delivering complex interdepartmental initiatives, this is your chance to take on a highly visible role where your contribution will be seen across the organization.

This role reports directly to the IT Director and offers the opportunity to lead critical projects that shape the way Couche-Tard/Circle K operates today and into the future.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead IT projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are delivered on time, in scope, and on budget.
• Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, operations, vendors, and external partners).
• Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and communication strategies.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and keep leadership informed with regular updates.
• Ensure projects align with business needs and Circle K’s IT strategy.
• Bring structure, accountability, and leadership to every initiative you manage.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here\'s what we\'re looking for:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• PMP or PMI certification (required).

Experience

• 5–7+ years of proven IT project management experience, ideally in retail or consumer-facing industries.

Knowledge and skills

• Strong operational knowledge of retail IT systems (POS, store systems, infrastructure, etc.).
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
• Skilled at working with diverse stakeholders and influencing at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Asana, or similar).
• Flexibility to travel when needed.

Language skills

• Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
