Onsite Flexibility: 100% Onsite

Contract Details:

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 12 months
  • Start: August 15, 2025 (based on requisition distribution)
  • End: August 14, 2026
  • Pay Rate: C$30-C$40/hr
  • Shift/Hours: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7 am-7 pm ET and 7 pm-7 am ET; 150 hours/month; fixed shift schedule
  • OT: Not applicable
Job Summary

Join a 24/7 Network Operations team supporting a top-tier banking institution's infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewalls, and Load Balancers. This Tier 1/Tier 1.5 role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented IT professional ready to tackle real-time issues in a high-availability production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line support for the Bank’s mission-critical network infrastructure under the guidance of NOC Shift Leaders.
  • React to anomalies identified through monitoring tools and ensure appropriate escalation and documentation.
  • Participate in incident management, change management, and problem resolution activities.
  • Execute network diagnostics and triage incidents involving LAN, MAN, WAN, RLAN, Wireless, Firewall, Load balancer, and Optical technologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional support groups (e.g., EES, OCG) and third-party vendors to manage chronic and high-impact issues.
  • Create and peer-review MoPs, knowledgebase documents, and handover logs to support team learning.
  • Identify automation opportunities and process gaps; escalate improvement suggestions to leadership.
  • Ensure accurate ticketing and incident resolution in accordance with established KPIs.
Required Experience
  • 3+ years in a Network Operations or production support role with a CCNP, or
  • 5+ years with a CCNA and deep hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficient with Cisco routing/switching and troubleshooting Tier 1 incidents.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting high-availability environments and prioritizing work queues.
