We are seeking an Investment Analyst, Sagard Wealth to support our investment team in building a top-tier investment management offering for successful families across Canada. The role involves supporting portfolio strategies, advancing asset class research, manager selection, and portfolio construction processes.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of investment opportunities across asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
  • Participate in manager selection processes, including screening, due diligence meetings, and performance analysis.
  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
  • Monitor existing investments and external managers, preparing performance reports and identifying concerns.
  • Contribute to asset allocation strategy by researching macroeconomic trends.
  • Assist in preparing client-facing materials explaining strategies and performance.
  • Contribute to developing analytics and tools to enhance strategic implementation.

Experience & Qualifications :

  • Degree in Finance or related discipline preferred; work experience and CFA designation may also be considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment research and portfolio management at large institutional firms.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex investment opportunities.
  • Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and French is an asset.
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and a passion for markets are essential.
  • Self-starter, resourceful, adaptable, and positive personality.
