  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
  • Superior proficiency with business software, analytical tools, and financial data portals such as Capital IQ.
  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build detailed financial models and perform valuation, sensitivity, and scenario analyses for potential investments.
  • Support transaction execution by coordinating due diligence across technical, financial, and commercial workstreams.
  • Prepare investment committee materials and support internal approvals.
  • Conduct sector research and competitive landscape analysis in the critical minerals and infrastructure sectors.
  • Collaborate with advisors, consultants, and portfolio company management teams for value creation initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for capital-raising activities and investor updates.

Role Overview

The Investment Analyst role provides hands‑on exposure to all aspects of private equity investment, with a primary focus on transaction execution, investment analysis, portfolio value creation, and project monetization. The selected Analyst will collaborate closely with senior investment professionals in Dubai and Toronto, gaining cross‑border experience across critical minerals and infrastructure investments.

Role Specific Accountabilities:
  • Build detailed financial models and perform valuation, sensitivity, and scenario analyses for potential investments
  • Support transaction execution by coordinating due diligence across technical, financial, and commercial workstreams
  • Prepare investment committee materials and support internal approvals
  • Conduct sector research and competitive landscape analysis in the critical minerals and infrastructure sectors, as well as maintaining industry databases and market intelligence
  • Collaborate with advisors, consultants, and portfolio company management teams as part of Kinterra’s value creation initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation and construction of presentations for capital‑raising activities, investor updates and strategic third parties as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, math, engineering, or science
  • 1-2 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, equity research or in a mining company considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge and interest in the energy transition, metals and mining, metal processing, processing infrastructure, and industrials is preferred
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex information clearly
  • Superior level of proficiency with business software, analytical tools and financial data portals such as Capital IQ
  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills.
