Investment Analyst

Location: 26 Wellington Street East Toronto, ON M5E 1S2

Salary: $105,000 to $120,000 annually (Negotiated)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full time

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible, Hybrid)

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate financial risk
  • Use portfolio management software
  • Collect financial and investment information about companies, stocks, bonds and other investments
  • Examine and analyze financial and investment information (profiles of companies, stock or bond prices, yields and future trends)
  • Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefing notes and correspondence
  • Provide investment advice and recommendations to clients, senior company officials, pension fund managers, securities agents and associates
  • Analyze investment projects
  • Develop risk management plans
  • Variance analysis
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • 2 to less than 3 years of investment analyst experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, R, and MS SQL Server
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and research skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player, flexible, reliable, good judgment, efficient interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
