Investment Analyst
Location: 26 Wellington Street East Toronto, ON M5E 1S2
Salary: $105,000 to $120,000 annually (Negotiated)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible, Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate financial risk
- Use portfolio management software
- Collect financial and investment information about companies, stocks, bonds and other investments
- Examine and analyze financial and investment information (profiles of companies, stock or bond prices, yields and future trends)
- Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefing notes and correspondence
- Provide investment advice and recommendations to clients, senior company officials, pension fund managers, securities agents and associates
- Analyze investment projects
- Develop risk management plans
- Variance analysis
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
- 2 to less than 3 years of investment analyst experience
- Proficiency in Excel, VBA, R, and MS SQL Server
- Strong analytical, quantitative and research skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player, flexible, reliable, good judgment, efficient interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with valid work permit (Do not apply if not authorized to work in Canada)
