Overview

Inventory & Logistics Manager — Greater Vancouver, BC (Home Based).

Lock Search Group is supporting a Western Canadian leader within the Wine & Spirits sector to build out their Marketing team. The selected candidate will join as the new Inventory & Logistics Manager, supporting supply chain, inventory, pricing, and regulatory activities across liquor markets in Western Canada. This leadership role balances strategic direction with hands-on operational management, fostering partnerships with provincial liquor boards, suppliers, and logistics providers. The role covers the full product lifecycle from supplier forecasting and inventory control to regulatory submissions and pricing strategy, driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in daily operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead operational planning across all provincial liquor markets, aligning inventory, pricing, and logistics with business goals.
  • Manage purchase orders, inter-provincial transfers, and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee forecasting with suppliers, freight forwarders, and management to secure timely shipments and product availability.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, reporting, and transfers to support sales growth while balancing cashflow.
  • Act as primary contact with liquor boards and warehouses, ensuring compliance with pricing, product registration, reporting, and data updates.
  • Execute provincial price changes, promotional submissions, and compliance requirements within deadlines.
  • Lead pricing strategy and margin reviews, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Provide insights on supply chain performance, cost management, and market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Build strong partnerships with sales teams, analysts, suppliers, and logistics partners to align strategies.
  • Oversee timely delivery of promotional materials, samples, and product launches while maintaining accurate supplier communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; degree or professional certification (CSCP, CPIM) considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, supply chain management, or the liquor/wine industry.
  • Strong financial expertise with proven ability in pricing, forecasting, and margin analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, data queries, and complex formulas.
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to combine strategic vision and hands-on execution.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of operational excellence.
  • Meticulous and compliance-focused, with a commitment to accuracy and detail.
  • Proactive and analytical problem solver with sound decision-making skills.
  • Collaborative leader skilled at driving cross-functional alignment and teamwork.
