Raise is currently hiring a Inventory Analyst – Supply Chain Management on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.

Description

The Inventory Analyst – Supply Chain Management in this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting strategic initiatives aimed at improving overall inventory health across the organization. This role requires an intermediate level of experience (4–9 years). This is a corporate-based role with required travel to Northern Saskatchewan and Ontario sites to assist with inventory reviews, stakeholder engagement, and process implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Inventory Rationalization: Lead or assist with the core inventory rationalization process, including verification of inactive materials, identification of duplicate items, and collaboration with site stakeholders to ensure proper categorization and disposition of materials.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform basic to intermediate data analysis on inventory metrics. Prepare and present detailed reports using Excel and ERP data to support management decision‑making regarding inventory investment and optimization.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the Materials Management group to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work effectively with cross‑functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and finance, to coordinate inventory activities and resolve discrepancies.
  • Compliance: Ensure inventory practices comply with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Site Support: Travel to remote sites (Northern Saskatchewan and Ontario) to conduct physical inventory reviews and engage stakeholders on inventory initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 4–9 years of professional experience in an inventory management, supply chain, or analytical role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data sets, identify inventory trends (e.g., obsolescence, usage patterns), and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., creating pivot tables, complex formulas, charting, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with large‑scale ERP systems such as SAP (preferred) or similar platforms (e.g., Oracle, Maximo) for inventory transaction and reporting.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of core inventory management principles (e.g., ABC analysis, min/max settings, cycle counting, stock valuation).
  • Education and Skills
    • Completion of post‑secondary education in a relevant field.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, such as Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (nice to have)
    • Supply Chain Management Designation (e.g., SCMP, APICS CPIM/CSCP).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively engage site personnel and management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and consistently meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Additional Requirements
  • As this is a safety‑sensitive role, due to the requirement of travelling to remote sites (Northern Saskatchewan and Ontario) pre‑access substance testing will be required.
