Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an Intermediate / Junior Civil Engineer in Winnipeg. The candidate will manage projects, oversee junior engineers, and handle design engineering tasks related to water conveyance and infrastructure. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and registration with EGM are required, along with 5 years of experience in engineering. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in engineering, preferably in water resource projects.
  • Experience in hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Overview

The successful candidate will use their technical and management skills to deliver various water conveyance and other infrastructure projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Registration with EGM as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.)
  • 5 years (+/-) experience in engineering, including design, management, construction supervision, and project management. Preferably for water resource related projects.
  • Experience in completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology, and using hydraulic modelling software is desirable
  • Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering
  • Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists
  • Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties
  • Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met
