Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Winnipeg is seeking an Intermediate / Junior Civil Engineer to manage water conveyance and infrastructure projects. This role involves project management, coordination of junior engineers, and direct client interaction. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering and around 5 years of related experience. Strong communication and leadership skills are a must. Qualifications

  • Registration with EGM as an Engineer (P.Eng. or E.I.T.) required.
  • 5 years (+/-) experience in engineering, with a focus on water resource projects.
  • Experience in hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Management of projects, contract administration, and design engineering.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and technologists.
  • Preparation of planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Performing construction administration and general construction supervision.
  • Working closely with clients to meet project objectives.

Position: INTERMEDIATE / JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

The successful candidate will use their technical and management skills to deliver various water conveyance and other infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
  • Registration with EGM as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.),
  • 5 years (+/-) experience in engineering, including design, management, construction supervision, and project management. Preferably for water resource related projects.
  • Experience in completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology, and using hydraulic modelling software is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering,
  • Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists,
  • Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents,
  • Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties,
  • Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
