Job description
The Opportunity
  • We are looking for an Intermediate Environmental Scientist or Engineer who wants to make a difference with a company that cares about its people.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and actively participate in field programs within the remediation practice area; however, experience within the reclamation and natural science practice areas are considered an asset.
  • Management of assessment and remediation projects, subcontractors, project budgets.
  • Report and present results to clients and regulators.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to junior professionals.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, landowners/stakeholders, and regulators.
  • Be a part of a team that develops new business.
About You and Your Qualifications
  • Graduated from a college or university with a diploma or degree in sciences or engineering with an environmental focus. Eligible for an existing professional designation from BCIA, EGBC, CAB, or equivalent within British Columbia.
  • Have 5-10 years of field and office experience working in assessment and remediation practice areas.
  • Experienced in safely leading environmental drilling programs, small- and large-scale remediation, and emergency spill response projects.
  • Knowledge of contaminated sites legislation, environmental regulations, policies, and permit processes.
  • Can safely operate vehicles and have a valid class 5 driver’s licence.
  • You are positive, humble, caring, genuine, and trustworthy.
  • You embrace being a key member of integrated and interdisciplinary teams and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a passion for consistently delivering outstanding work.
  • This position is eligible for overtime, therefore, we are looking for flexible people, as there are times where extended hours and travel away from home are required.

Salary Range
  • $65,000 - $80,000 annually depending on experience.
