Intermediate Business Analyst (Data & Analytics)

Our client is looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst (Data & Analytics) to work with their business partners and stakeholders to manage the requirements development process through the investigation, analysis, and specification of requirements (business, stakeholder, solution) and support the ongoing management of business requirements and end-user use cases.

Responsibilities
  • Support business analysis needs for multiple Agile projects (people, processes and tools) with consideration for business requirements, functional requirements, user (stakeholder) requirements, use cases, quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements, implementation (transition) requirements, specifications, and traceability
  • Accurately translate business requirements and analysis into clear (written in business language), accurate and detailed specifications, and/or user stories (as appropriate)
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business clients and other stakeholders to gather business and process flow requirements
  • Perform thorough analysis to identify gaps and opportunities, and recommend solutions that balance both IT and Business needs
  • Analyze and document E2E business processes and flows “AS IS” vs. “TO BE”, and communicate impact of changes for implementation planning
  • Update requirements documents as required to keep them current – throughout the full lifecycle of a product (Pre & Post Production)
  • Support IT processes to help ensure seamless transition from test production
  • Good testing knowledge
  • Able to document requirement gaps/defects for error correction
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in business analysis, requirements planning and documentation
  • Good knowledge of PowerBI and Microsoft Cloud technologies
  • 2+ years experience with data analytics
  • Experience in business analysis in Agile projects
  • Knowledge of business processes in the financial industry – mortgages, loans, credit cards and/or deposits (B2B and B2C)
  • Experienced with stakeholder management

This is a minimum 6 month contract, work from home or hybrid based role in Toronto, ON
