Job description

Description of the company:

This BC-based architecture studio blends technical excellence with creativity to deliver commercial spaces that actually work — for the people building them and the people living in them. With a culture rooted in collaboration and quality, this team values precision as much as passion. They’re known for producing clean, buildable designs that respect timelines, budgets, and construction realities. Think less red tape, more real impact.

Why is this role open:

The team is growing to meet demand on a range of new commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed architectural drawings using Revit in collaboration with architects and engineers

  • Prepare, refine, and coordinate construction documents for commercial builds

  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain drawing accuracy

  • Review and interpret blueprints, technical specs, and reports

  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to keep things moving and aligned

  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and zoning requirements

  • Provide technical support to junior staff and contribute to in-house coordination

  • Utilize tools like Bluebeam to streamline workflows and review project deliverables

Must haves:

  • 10+ years of architectural experience working with the NBC and BCBC, with at least 8 years of hands-on Revit use

  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and building codes

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping calm under pressure

  • Proven time management skills — you know how to hit deadlines without cutting corners

  • Registered with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC)

  • Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with tools like Bluebeam

  • Based in British Columbia, Canada

Nice-to-haves:
    • Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff

    • Exposure to different phases of architectural design from schematic through construction

    • Familiarity with sustainable or LEED-certified projects

    • A knack for identifying construction challenges before they happen

Benefits:
  • Extended health and dental

  • Vision care

  • Life and disability insurance

  • Bonus pay (typically $5K+, depending on profit)

  • Flexibility to work from home occasionally

  • Work life balance is highly valued!
Remote/Hybrid: In-person work based in British Columbia. Some flexibility may be available for the right candidate, but on-site presence is required.
Salary Range: $80-90K per year for 32 - 36 hrs/week
