Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience working as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated substantial product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems.
  • Construction site experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and oversee technical design and contract documents.
  • Work with team members to ensure designs meet guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide technical design solutions for projects.
  • Lead assembly of specifications using the NMS format.
  • Coordinate internal production teams.
  • Mentor office staff technically.
  • Assist with contract administration and site visits.

Architecture49 (A49) is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist resident in the Seaway Corridor to join our team on a remote or hybrid basis. Responsibilities
  • Remotely producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in compliance with owner requirements, in collaboration with project teams.
  • Working with team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements, regulations, quality assurance and control.
  • Provide technical design solutions for both new and renovation projects including interior and exterior assemblies.
  • Leading assembly of specifications for projects using the NMS format.
  • Coordinating and leading internal production teams.
  • Coordinating with project sub-consultants.
  • Providing technical mentoring and project leadership to office staff.
  • Assisting with contract administration including site visits and working with construction contractors.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
  • 5+ years’ working as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated substantial product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems.
  • Construction site experience.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; Bluebeam
