We’re currently hiring an Intermediate Accountant – Audit on behalf of a well-established accounting firm located in Langley, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA student with public practice experience who wants hands‑on assurance exposure, strong mentorship, and clear long‑term growth within an audit and assurance team.

About the Opportunity
As an Intermediate Accountant in Audit, you’ll work closely with Managers and Partners while being supported by a dedicated coach who will help guide your technical and professional development. You’ll gain hands‑on experience completing audit and review engagements, strengthen your understanding of ASPE and IFRS, and work directly with client finance teams. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their assurance skills and progress toward senior‑level responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audit and review engagements
  • Prepare working papers and financial statements in accordance with ASPE and IFRS
  • Perform audit testing and documentation following firm methodology and professional standards
  • Communicate directly with clients, including controllers and finance managers
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high‑quality assurance engagements
  • Support continuous improvement through learning and feedback

The Requirements

  • Enrolled in the CPA program
  • 1+ year of public practice experience, preferably in audit or assurance
  • Experience with CaseWare and audit software considered an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment
