Job description
Recruiting: Young Writers Program Creative Writing Mentor

Position: Young Writers Program - Creative Writing Mentor (One-on-One)

Location: Remote

Do you have stories in your pen and magic in your heart?

We believe that writing is more than just a skill; it's a superpower. YiYi English is launching a groundbreaking new project—the "Young Writers Program." We're not just teaching writing; we're empowering future thinkers and leaders. We are looking for a unique mentor to guide students in exploring and perfecting their own writing worlds.

Your role will be to:

  • Be an Inspiration Guide: You will use fascinating literary worlds (like Harry Potter) as tools to spark students' imagination, turning their passion for stories into powerful writing motivation.
  • Be a Mentor and a Partner: Through one-on-one, in-depth coaching, you will help students overcome writing obstacles and transform from passive "outsiders" into confident, articulate creators.
  • Be a Project Planner: You will guide students in completing a series of meaningful writing projects, from initial ideation to final publication, helping them turn their creative ideas into tangible works.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Teaching Experience: A background in creative writing, literature, or education, with extensive experience in one-on-one or small-group tutoring.
  • Mentoring Qualities: Strong empathy and patience, an ability to listen and understand students' inner needs, and a knack for using encouragement and guidance to build their confidence.
  • Passion and Professionalism: You are passionate about teaching and literature. You excel at seamlessly blending the "Bacon" (structure, grammar, etc.) of writing with the "Broccoli" (critical thinking, leadership, confidence, etc.) of personal growth.

Why join us?

You will be a core member of an innovative project, helping us redefine online education. We offer flexible working hours, professional training, and a passionate team.

If you are eager to help children reach beyond their potential, join us and help create some magic!
