What is the opportunity?

We are looking for self-motivated, highly driven, and entrepreneurial individuals to join our Ontario North Field Sales team at RBC Insurance. As an accredited Insurance Advisor Life & Wealth (HLLQP / LLQP), you will provide integrated life insurance planning and advice to your existing network of referrals and new RBC client acquisitions. Your understanding of the full suite of RBC Insurance Life, Whole Life, Living Benefits, & Wealth products enables you to offer valuable solutions tailored to your clients' needs. You will also engage in prospecting and networking activities, supported by internal partners who help deepen client relationships through effective opportunity spotting and honest sales practices. What will you do?

  • Connect with clients through discovery to understand their life events and offer comprehensive insurance and financial advice that aligns with their current and evolving needs.
  • Promote a client-first mindset in a digital environment by meeting clients at their convenience.
  • Develop and deepen client relationships using Salesforce and other compliant customer tools/electronic forms.
  • Contribute to and be accountable for your team’s sales success by achieving your individual sales goals.
  • Expand your external networks by leveraging market opportunities and referrals from approved centres of influence.
  • Regularly review your business results and adjust activities to meet targets.
  • Deliver on RBC’s vision to be among the world’s most trusted and successful financial institutions.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent
  • Business development and prospecting skills with a goal-oriented attitude and strong ambition to succeed
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Life / A&S License (HLLQP / LLQP), or willingness to complete
  • 1-2+ years of professional sales experience in the Insurance Industry
  • An existing network of referrals and approved centres of influence
  • Digital literacy using various systems and tools

Nice to have

  • Industry Designations Preferred: CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), CHS (Certified Health Insurance Specialist)
