This position will support ILPA’s education department and the ILPA Institute executive education programming. The ILPA Institute provides structured, extensive executive education programming, exclusively designed from the perspective of the limited partner. This world‑class platform provides a unique development experience, set in an environment that emphasizes peer learning and practical applications of the content, whether completing one of the self‑paced classes or live, faculty‑led programs. ILPA has regarded education and professional development for private equity professionals as a top priority for its members.
This is a full‑time (40‑hours), exempt, remote position. Due to collaboration requirements, we have a strong preference for candidates in Toronto, Canada or Washington, DC, and the position will operate on Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
The individual will be responsible for creating and managing educational content with the user experience in mind, enhancing member engagement, and maintaining a consistent brand voice across all ILPA Institute platforms and products, including live programming and self‑paced online platform. The Instructional Designer will excel at partnering with subject‑matter experts to translate complex investment and private‑markets concepts into clear, engaging, and actionable learning pathways. Their approach prioritizes peer learning, case‑based problem solving, and real‑world application.
The Instructional Designer will report to ILPA’s Senior Director, Education. As part of the application process, applicants will be asked to include a link to a digital portfolio and/or samples of relevant work within their application.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $95,000 CAD. The compensation range for this role is specific to Toronto, ON and considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off (up to an eventual max of 30 days), company holiday closure, retirement benefits, 100% employer paid health insurance for employee and their dependents, life insurance and disability, paid holidays, and professional development allowance. Additionally, the hired candidate will be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
