What is the role?
As a Marketing Expert at Client, you will work with an existing list of small to medium sized businesses currently utilizing online advertising and marketing services on our client's platform. This is an outbound sales role – the expectation is to consistently exceed quarterly targets through high-volume outbound calling, speaking with decision‑makers to increase the value of their online advertisements through optimization and increase customer investment and campaign length.
Day to Day
- Fast paced, busy, productivity is key. Expect to be on the phone most of the day making outbound calls.
- Have strong computer and technical skills and be able to multi‑task using multiple windows while talking and dealing with clients.
- Proactive outreach (cold calling) from your list of advertisers, pitching to prospective clients and engaging them in wanting to set up a full value call with you.
- This can be repetitive work as you may not always reach the client on the first, second or multiple calls.
- Goal is to have 5+ full value calls scheduled per day with advertisers, each lasting about 30‑45 min.
- In between calls: follow up with advertisers, check in on how they are doing, answer emails, attend trainings, huddles, coaching sessions.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to consultative sales in service of client goals.
- Manage a portfolio of high spending advertisers of small to medium‑sized businesses to grow revenue with higher product savviness.
- Research and understand the vertical(s)/market(s) industry and client business models.
- Identify sales opportunities and provide clients with tailored solutions.
- Personalize client recommendations to suit varying needs, using vertical expertise.
- Improve clients' experiences by consulting on optimal and appropriate product adoption.
- Proactively reach out (outbound calls) and reactively engage with clients via phone and email to assess product performance and provide insights to optimize advertisements and increase investments.
- Build relationships with the creation of long‑term marketing and sales strategies.
- Consistently exceed quarterly targets through high‑volume outbound calling and understand customers' business and advertising goals to capture market intelligence.
- Develop expert working knowledge of Social Media advertising solutions (including measurement) and identify trends, solve problems.
- Share ideas to improve ad products and customer experience.
- Exhibit curiosity by actively teaching yourself and others, staying updated on industry trends and competitors.
- Help clients optimize existing campaigns, reach advertising goals, optimize budgets by understanding what works.
- Triage support issues while maintaining strong relationships and meeting customers' needs consistently.
Basic Qualifications
- Sales Experience: At least 2 years in relationship sales, ad sales, or digital marketing.
- Overall Work Experience: 4 Years.
- BPO experience required.
- Deep knowledge of sales, verticals and local market knowledge as well as cross‑channel media selling.
- Excellent relationship building and upselling over the course of a relationship.
- Experience working with customers from North America.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, solution mindset and passion for customer satisfaction.
- Exceptional grammar, typing accuracy and writing skills.
- Professional sales skills with a strong phone presence, solution mindset and helping nature.
- Experienced problem solver and proactive communicator.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and experience working with high‑spending, sophisticated clientele.
- In‑depth knowledge of sales accounts, matching client sophistication and consistently meeting needs.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Strong organization skills and ability to quickly adapt to evolving work environment.
