At Atelier Gérard Beaulieu Inc., we are looking for an Industrial Mechanic available on weekends to ensure the reliability of our equipment, support our production operations, and respond quickly when needed.
1. JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Weekend Industrial Mechanic performs preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, and emergency interventions. He/she helps keep equipment in proper working order while complying with safety standards.
2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Replace worn parts: motors, bearings, pumps, etc.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Participate in the installation or improvement of equipment.
  • Complete maintenance reports and report anomalies.
  • Work safely and follow OH&S regulations.
3. DAILY TASKS
  • Carry out scheduled mechanical inspections during the shift.
  • Respond quickly to production calls.
  • Adjust, align, or lubricate components as needed.
  • Clean and secure work areas after interventions.
  • Communicate follow-ups to the maintenance supervisor or the next shift team.
4. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Industrial Mechanics or related field.
  • Industrial maintenance experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Ability to read plans; knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Good judgment, autonomy, and a sense of urgency.
  • Availability on weekends (schedule to be confirmed).
5. WORK CONDITIONS
  • Weekend schedule (Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday – e.g.: 3 x 12 hrs).
