Responsibilities

• Provide luxury service throughout the day and into the night.
• Deliver orders and amenities to guest rooms.
• Run functions in guest rooms for up to 75 guests.
• Assist with food & beverage service in the Gold floor lounge.
• Handle daily deliveries and assist the Manager on Duty.

Job Description

The In Room Dining Server position is an exciting position giving you the opportunity to provide food & beverage service in guest rooms as well as serve in the Fairmont Gold Lounge.

Starting Rate

$16.89 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $17.89.

Job Duties Include

• Providing luxury service from early mornings to late nights. Opening servers start as early as 5:30 AM; our closing servers stay as late as 1:00 AM.
• Delivering orders and amenities to guest rooms
• Setting up and working functions in guest rooms for up to 75 guests
• Running of the Gold floor lounge Food & Beverage component.

• Development opportunities such as: Cashiering; taking guest orders, processing payments, organizing the daily deliveries, assisting the Manager on Duty with service flow
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, busy environment including overnight shifts
• 6 months previous food & beverage experience required
• Must have ProServe certification
• Wine and cocktail knowledge an asset
• POS knowledge an asset
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+ lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
