Job summary

A leading family service provider in Toronto is looking for a full-time childcare provider to manage household duties in the absence of parents. Responsibilities include supervising children, performing housekeeping tasks, and preparing meals. The ideal candidate has a secondary school graduation certificate, some experience with multi-aged groups, especially Autistic children, and is capable of maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. This is a permanent position with no option for remote work.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
• Experience with multi-aged groups of children.
• Experience working with Autistic children is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision.
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
• Discipline children as requested by parents.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Supervise and care for children.
• Take children to and from school and appointments.
• Tend to emotional well-being of children.
