Job summary

A leading IT services firm in Calgary is seeking an experienced IT professional to work on a Role Based Access Control project. The candidate will define required access for roles by collaborating with leadership and reviewing existing access control data. Essential skills include experience with Okta, identity & access management, and strong communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in an IT enterprise environment and familiarity with authentication protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in an IT Enterprise environment.
• Experience with Okta including Workflows and SSO.
• Familiarity with SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.
• Industry-standard certifications such as CISSP or SSCP are preferred.
• Experience with Identity & Access Management in Active Directory.
• Privileged Access Management experience is an asset.

Job description

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of general experience in an IT Enterprise environment.
• Experience with Okta including Okta Workflows, SSO, and Okta Identity Governance
• Familiarity with authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and LDAP is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Completed or actively pursuing industry‑standard certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, or Google PCSE.
• Experience with Identity & Access Management in a multi‑forest Active Directory environment is considered an asset.
• Privileged Access Management (PAM) experience is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with IAM governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and access reviews is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with the NIST framework and information security concepts such as the principle of least privilege.
• ServiceNow / ITIL v4 experience.
• Strong soft skills with the ability to translate technical access controls into business terms and collaborate across teams.
• Proven capability to map, translate, and improve processes is considered an asset.
• Proven researching and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems is considered an asset.
• Experience with Python, Shell scripting, or APIs for automating identity lifecycle management is considered an asset.
