Responsibilities
  • Definition, development, maintenance, and modification of hydraulic engineering tools and processes;
  • Support for bids, including preliminary design and design reviews;
  • Analysis of design requirements;
  • Support the development of hydraulic designs for turbine components of various types;
  • Collaboration with the hydraulic laboratory team in Linz for model turbine development;
  • Collaborating with mechanical engineering and contract hydraulic engineers to ensure the continuous execution of development contracts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree highly desirable;
  • Ideally, minimum of five (5) years of experience in hydro engineering;
  • Candidate must hold membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or meet the eligibility criteria to obtain such membership;
  • Creativity, problem solving skills, and demonstrated consistent attention to detail;
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment and excellent communication skills (oral & written);
  • Self‑directed and proven leadership skills;
  • Familiarity with CFD calculations for hydraulic turbines;
  • Knowledge of commercial and technical aspects of hydro‑electric power plant equipment;
  • Interest in programming with ideally some experience in bash and Python scripting;
  • Fluency in French and English – spoken and written.
