Job description

Summary: Responsible for servicing and maintaining HVAC systems. Installing new systems and replacing old by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyzes, plans, and performs preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.*
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs residential HVAC systems.*
  • Orders and maintains parts needed to repair/maintain and install HVAC equipment.*
  • Maintains skill in cleaning, adjusting and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.*
  • Maintains ability to identify and communicate solutions to satisfy customer's needs*
  • Diagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.*
  • Maintains focus on customer satisfaction, safety and comfort.*
  • Maintains excellent organization, communication and troubleshooting skills.*

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training:

  • 2-4 years servicing and installs
  • 2-4 years fabricating/metal work
Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license
  • EPA II certification
Equipment:

  • Tablet
  • Recovery machine
  • Power tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

  • Able to effectively communicate with customer
  • Being punctual and timely
  • Good housekeeping and organized

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
