Overview

Purpose of Position :

Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment

Reporting Structure

HVAC technician, reports directly to their Retro Fit Service Manager or Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine running of Linesets
  • Install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Low Voltage Control wiring
  • Final Hook-up and Commissioning of Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps or assist as an apprentice
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure the efficient operation of HVAC equipment
  • Servicing of Existing Refrigeration and HVAC Equipment
  • Confer with Service Team, Contractors and Suppliers to resolve any issues
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all work activities
Experience, Education & Qualifications
  • Journeyman Red Seal or Apprentice in Refrigeration and HVAC
Skills & Proficiencies
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision making
  • Ability to decipher electrical diagrams
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to meet sensitive timelines
  • Ability to adapt to the changes in day-to-day workloads
