Job description

Valley Refrigeration Ltd., due to an upcoming retirement, has an opening for a well experienced HVAC Service/Installation Manager to lead a team of HVAC technicians to install, repair, service and maintain our residential client’s HVAC systems in an efficient and timely manner.

As the Manager, you must work closely with the service and installation technicians, our administrative staff as well as suppliers in order to provide accurate information for our customers. To ensure continued customer loyalty, the Service Manager, as a representative of the Company, must provide clear, concise communications and information to our customers.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage residential HVAC service, installation and maintenance team to ensure the highest quality workmanship is provided to all clients;

Assist the administrative staff with the dispatching of service calls and installation projects;

Review service and maintenance work orders daily, address necessary repairs immediately;

Order and track materials required for quoted repairs and residential installations;

Communicate and provide updates on supply issues to administrative staff and customers, as required;

Daily job site monitoring;

Weekly vehicle inspections;

Maintaining a clean and organized shop;

Receiving of residential equipment and parts, managing residential inventory;

Oversee inventory management ensuring adequate supplies for seamless operations;

Comply with service standards, work instructions and customer requirements;

Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act;

Provide technical support to the residential team;

Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations;

REQUIREMENTS

Licenced Sheet Metal and Gas Fitter with minimum 8 years’ experience in the HVAC trade;

Strong understanding of the challenges that occur in the HVAC trade;

Excellent organizational skills, communication skills and problem solving skills;

Proven customer service experience as a manager;

Strong customer focused mentality;

Proficient in reading and understanding schematics and work plans;

Reliable and self motivated;

Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record;

Forklift licence is an asset;
