Job description

Reporting to the Human Resources Director for Eastern Canada, the Human Resources Specialist – Administrative Employees and Special Projects will have the primary mandate of developing and implementing an HR practice tailored to the administrative teams in the region. In this role, the Specialist will be responsible for managing all HR aspects related to this group, including organizational development, HR administration, and labor relations.

Key Responsibilities
Organizational Development
  • Develop workplace recognition practices and communicate various internal HR policies
  • Collaborate on the design and rollout of training programs and support change management initiatives
HR Administration
  • Administer all types of leaves of absence (e.g., medical, parental, unpaid)
  • Manage HR data related to administrative employees in Eastern Canada via an HRIS system
Labor Relations
  • Act as the designated recipient for workplace harassment and violence complaints
  • Support managers in managing performance, behavior, and interpersonal conflicts
Education, Experience and Aptitude
  • Bilingual (French and English) required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources
  • Work experience in a generalist position in a federal, non-unionized environment.
  • Post-secondary education in human resources or labor relations, or equivalent work experience
