About the role

Innovatia Technical Services Inc. (ITSI) is a growing technology solutions company serving global clients with full lifecycle IT technical services, including consulting, implementation and 24/7 support. As our next Human Resources Manager, you will lead HR operations across our organization while partnering with leaders in Canada and India. This is a fluid, fast‑moving environment—priorities shift, initiatives evolve quickly, and self‑direction is essential. You’ll flex comfortably between strategic planning and hands‑on execution.

Location: Atlantic Canada (NB/NS/PEI/NL) preferred; remote across Canada considered
Reports to: CEO
Type: Full‑time

What you’ll do
  • Own HR: Be the primary HR partner to leadership; drive employee relations, performance planning, policy adherence, and risk management aligned to applicable legislation and our internal policies.
  • Be a force‑multiplier for leaders: Coach managers on organizational design, performance management, corrective actions, return‑to‑work, and engagement that scales in a dynamic business.
  • Guide benefits & wellness programs: Manage broker relationships, review plan performance, and recommend improvements that optimize cost and employee experience.
  • Drive HR systems & data: Oversee HR systems and processes and lead improvements that increase accuracy, transparency, and automation.
  • Lead policy & compliance: Review, revise, and implement policies for legislative compliance in Canada and India; partner with leadership on change rollout and adoption.
  • Oversee disability & leaves: Manage Canadian short‑ and long‑term disability programs and return‑to‑work processes with leaders and vendors.
  • Partner with Recruiting on headcount plans and selection; ensure a consistent candidate experience and smooth onboarding handoff.
  • Support global talent flow: Coordinate employer immigration sponsorship and related documentation for temporary workers.
  • Model flexible execution: Switch priorities with ease, communicate trade‑offs transparently, and deliver outcomes in a fluid environment.
What you bring
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience and 3+ years leading HR teams in dynamic, multi‑site organizations (required).
  • CPHR (or equivalent) preferred; commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience managing international HR operations.
  • Knowledge of Indian employment frameworks (e.g., POSH, RPWD) is preferred or a strong ability to ramp quickly.
  • Proven strength as a self‑directed operator who flexes between strategic and hands‑on work, with excellent judgment and communication.
  • Experience with benefits administration, performance management, HR systems, and policy design/implementation is a strong plus.
  • Comfort working across time zones (IST & North America) and occasionally flexing hours to support India operations.
Work location, hours & travel
  • This is a work from home position in Canada. We provide a company‑issued computer; collaboration is remote by default.
  • Typical NB business hours, with early‑morning meetings as needed to overlap with the India team.
  • Infrequent travel to India may be required.
