We are currently looking for a full-time Human Resources Manager for our client in Northern Ontario.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager ensures the HR strategy aligns with the business and strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role ensuring there is balance of workload within the HR team encompassing a wide range of functions and expectations including business partnerships and guidance, labor relations, HR policies and processes, collective agreement negotiations, legal compliance and intercultural awareness.
Compensation:
• This is a salary position in the range of $125,000 to $150,000 depending upon experience plus an annual bonus and relocation assistance.

As part of the management team you will be responsible for:
- Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations ensuring all employees are held accountable for our safety and environmental systems.
- Ensure company policies and values are implemented and maintained throughout the organization and all legal requirements are met.
- Work with the senior leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, reporting systems, cost containment and company policies all designed to foster growth, profitability, and efficiencies within the company.
- Collective bargaining along with grievance and discipline management.
- Conduct internal investigations to gather facts related to disputes, complaints and incidents.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior leadership across the organization.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field of study.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with an employer that has multiple bargaining units. Experience in a manufacturing facility would be an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Labour relations and employment law in a unionized environment.
- Excellent communicator, insightful, self-aware, and able to listen to employees and integrate feedback into the operations. Strong belief in continuous improvement and the ability to understand market trends and drive business decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for translating quantitative and qualitative data into actionable plans. A strong Financial Acumen is required.
- Excellent organizational skills including planning, prioritizing, and delegating.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office.
