Qualifications

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic HR & HSE Business Partner to join our team in Avondale, Auckland. Reporting directly to the NZ Country Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in partnering with our local leadership team to deliver meaningful initiatives that enhance employee engagement, safety, and performance.

About the role

This is a dynamic position and you’ll be responsible for:

Human Resources
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding to ensure a smooth and positive experience for new starters.
  • Coaching and mentoring managers and acting as a trusted advisor on IR/ER related matters.
  • Driving employee engagement through surveys, interviews, and action planning.
  • Delivering training and collaborating with L&D to meet local needs.
  • Supporting workforce planning and succession discussions.
  • Leading the implementation of Groupwide programs related to remuneration, development and engagement.
Health, Safety & Environment
  • Conducting site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Delivering safety training and supporting HSE communications.
  • Investigating incidents and supporting rehabilitation plans.
  • Performing safety audits and maintaining documentation.
  • Supporting the implementation of our Integrated Safety Management System.
  • Delivering the Group safety and well-being initiatives through local implementation

Experience & Qualifications
  • Operational experience in HR and/or Health & Safety, ideally in an industrial setting.
  • Solid understanding of HR, IR, and HSE legislation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Health & Safety, or a related field are desirable.
