Are you a seasoned HR professional looking for a true Business Partner role where you willwork alongside leaders, influence decisions, and shape the future of your client groups? If you thrive in fast-changing environments and enjoy the challenge of complex employee and labour relations in a unionized setting, we want to meet you.

This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on generalist with experience navigating the unique realities of unionized environments, collective bargaining, job evaluation, and workforce transitions in resource-constrained sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Partner closely with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, change management, and employee engagement strategies
  • Lead and support complex employee and labour relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and union discussions
  • Guide leaders through performance management, conflict resolution, terminations, and return-to-work cases
  • Facilitate succession planning conversations and talent reviews within your client groups
  • Conduct job classification reviews using established methodologies and provide sound recommendations
  • Participate in job evaluations, organizational restructures, and reclassification processes
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on senior-level recruitment and hiring panels
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share ideas for enhancing HR processes and programs
  • Support leaders in interpreting and applying multiple collective agreements and employment legislation

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist/business partner experiencein a unionized setting
  • Proven ability to manageemployee and labour relations cases, grievances, and investigationswith confidence
  • Experience withjob classification and compensation reviewsusing recognized methodologies
  • Solid knowledge ofworkforce planning, organizational design, and talent management practices
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments where no two days look the same
  • Strong influencing skills — able to build trust, coach leaders, and confidently guide tough conversations
  • EDI-informed mindset and a collaborative, open-minded approach to process improvements and people leadership
